Do not be afraid; for see - I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord. Luke 2:10 - 11 NRSV
Current Curriculum: Topical Studies - September "Radical" by David Platt
The SonCatchers Class was started to provide Christian education for adults attending the Connexions service. The teaching role is shared by several class members. Class members are guided by a moderator who facilitates class discussion. Student input is encouraged to aid in student growth as a Christian wanting to discern God’s Word for their lives. Class members are encouraged, enabled and empowered to live active Christian lives and be witnesses of Christ for others.
The Bible is the primary resources for the class. The focus of lessons is studies of the books of the Bible (in no order). Current and historical works and topics are studied - such as the Tabernacle and Angels. These are Bible based studies written by people of faith, like Dr. David Jeremiah.
The class size ranges from 10-15. The age range of the class is 40 and up.
Class members are actively involved in church activities such as choirs, men’s and women’s groups, mission trips, NEST, Wednesday Night Suppers, Coffee House, receptions, Bible Studies, teaching other classes, and supporting missionaries (El Salvador student). As far as social activities are concerned, the class gathers together each Christmas for a meal and time of fellowship.
The SonCatchers are a friendly, spiritual, centered in prayer class committed to assisting in the growth of new and seasoned Christians on their personal walk with Christ. The class meets year round and extends an open invitation to others to study God’s Word with them.
