Choir Ensembles
The Chancel Choir 
  • Open to all who love to sing!  Must have availability for evening rehearsals.
 
  • Lead worship music during the traditional worship service on Sundays at 8:00am & 11:00am.
 
  • Rehearsals are held Wednesdays from 6:30pm-8:00pm in the Sanctuary.
 
 
The Sonshine Choir
  • Open to all who love to sing!  Must have availability for daytime rehearsals.
 
  • Lead the worship music during the traditional worship service on Sundays at 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
 
  • Rehearsals are held Tuesdays from 11:30am-12:30pm  in the Choir Room.
 
 
Combined Choirs (Chancel & Sonshine)
  • Combined Choirs sing for special Sunday worship services throughout the year such as Advent Lessons & Carols, Holy Week services, Christmas Eve, Christ the King Sunday and Pentecost.
Master’s Men
  • Open to men who love to sing and want to have fun!  Must have availability for evening rehearsals.
 
 
  • Lead worship on the fourth Sunday of each month during the traditional worship services on Sundays at 8am and 11am.
 
 
 
 
Rehearsals
  • Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings from 6pm-7pm in the Choir Room.
 
 
  • Additional dress rehearsals are scheduled for specific performance opportunities throughout the year.
 
 
  •  Special performances include an annual Advent Master’s Men program, held at GBUMC in early December.  Additional performance opportunities scheduled periodically throughout the year.
 
 
 
Instrumental Ensembles
Great Bridge UMC Community Orchestra
  • Open to all experienced strings, woodwinds, brass, or percussion instrumentalists!
 
  • Lead worship music during special Sunday worship services throughout the year such as Advent Lessons & Carols, Holy Week services, and other available opportunities.
 
 
 
Rehearsals
  • Rehearsals are held Sunday evenings from 6:30pm-7:45pm in the Social Hall.  
 
  • Additional dress rehearsals are scheduled for specific performance opportunities throughout the year.

Great Bridge UMC Praise Band
  • Open to interested and experienced instrumentalists and vocalists to participate with contemporary praise music.
  • Lead worship music during the 9:30am Sunday morning contemporary worship service.  
 
  • Lead music for special activities such as KingdomFest, Advent Lessons & Carols, Holy Week services, and other available opportunities.
 
Rehearsals
  • Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings from 7:15pm-8:30pm in the Sanctuary.
 
  • Additional dress rehearsals are scheduled for specific performance opportunities throughout the year.

Handbell Choirs
The Joyful Praise Ringers
  • Adult and Youth handbell choir that helps to lead in our traditional worship services on most 3rd Sundays of each month at 8am & 11am.
 
  • Lead worship music during the traditional worship service on Sundays at 8:00am & 11:00am.
 
  • Rehearsals are held Wednesdays from 6:30pm-8:00pm in the Sanctuary.
 
 
Rehearsals
  • Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 6pm-7pm in the Sanctuary.
The Rainbow Ringers
  • Kindergarten – 1st grade student handbell choir, led by Mr. Randy Ingalsbe.
 
  • Helps to lead in music during special services and children’s programs.  
 
Rehearsals
  • Mr. Ingalsbe rehearses children during the 9:45am Sunday School hour each Sunday morning in the Children’s Wing.  
 
  • Additional rehearsal time  may be scheduled  prior to a service as needed.
 
Children’s Music
G-Notes (God’s Notes), 456-Rock & Youth Choir
  • Our Children’s Choir provides a fun and musical learning opportunity for students to learn about music and worship!
 
  • G-Notes (God’s Notes) is for students in 1st-3rd Grade; 456-Rock is for students in 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade.
 
  • Our Children’s Choirs enjoy participating in Fall & Spring musical productions and special services  to learn about and share Jesus with others through music!  
 
 
Rehearsals
  • Children’s Choir meets weekly on Wednesdays from 5pm-6pm in the Choir Room.
 
  • Children are picked up in the Choir Room at 6pm.
Kids Under Construction (Preschool-1st)
  • Our Kids Under Construction offers an opportunity for preschoolers-1st grade to get involved in music!
 
  • Children will learn Bible-based stories and music, hear stories, and create crafts to reinforce biblical concepts.
 
  •  KUC sings for Wednesday Night Bistro and special Sunday services periodically, and participates with the full Children’s Choir for Fall & Spring musical productions and special services.
 
Rehearsals
  • KUC meets weekly on Wednesdays from 5pm-5:50pm.  Children will meet in the Choir Room to rehearse music with the full Children’s Choir, and will break to Rm. 132 with Mrs. Cheryl and Mrs. Martha for KUC music, stories, and craft activities.  Students are picked up in Rm. 132 at 5:50pm.
Vocal Ensembles
 
 
Selected vocal ensembles lead in worship approximately once a quarter in traditional services here at GBUMC.

Making Treble is an all female chorus that combines the women from all choirs and ensembles at GBUMC.
 
All women of the church are invited to sing with this wonderful group.
 
Making Treble practices from 6:30pm-7pm on Wednesdays leading up to scheduled Sunday services.
Quadrophonix is a men’s quartet that sings in the styles of barber shop & southern gospel.
 
They typically sing many of their selections a cappella.
 
Quadrophonix rehearses following Chancel choir  rehearsal on Wednesday evenings leading up to scheduled Sunday services.
Quartetto is a quartet of men and women that sings many musical selections a cappella, and often in foreign languages.

Vox Cæli (Heavenly Voices) is a men’s and women’s ensemble of 8-12 voices that sings many musical  sections a cappella and often in foreign languages.
